Letter from America: Six months?in
Nov 1, 2019
A little over half a year has flown by since www.q13611.com opened up an office in the US. We have established a small research outpost on the East Coast, in New Haven, CT. It’s a vibrant academic city that is home to Yale University.
We are gradually expanding our presence. Two months ago, we hired blockchain analyst?Kevin Chen. Kevin previously worked for the IOTA Foundation and his broad knowledge of blockchain technology is proving a great asset.
Over the past few months, my research has focused on applications of machine learning in multi-agent systems. This has consisted of two main elements. The first was to develop a prototype of an autonomous agent that demonstrates how, by using state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms, people could use agents to generate value. To achieve this, I developed a prototype of a car parking agent. This work has been enhanced further by www.q13611.com senior software engineer Diarmid Campbell, who has improved the agent capability. We will be unveiling full details about the project in the coming weeks.
Our parking agents extract valuable real time information and make it available to other agents on the www.q13611.com network.
Separately, I have been helping to finalize how agents interact with each other and how they can work together to collectively solve complex problems. We have many ideas about how to make our agents smarter. However, to test our approach and to develop new ones, we first needed a reliable framework and test environment: a sort of ‘gym’ for algorithms. When ready, it will benefit not only www.q13611.com, but also anyone else who is interested in utilizing multi-agent systems. This is an ambitious project and remains a work in progress. We have exciting updates on this topic in the pipeline though, so stay tuned for more information.
As a growing start-up with great ambitions, we are always on the lookout for talented people to join the team at our headquarters in Cambridge in the UK.
We are seeking developers, machine learning engineers and research scientists who have expertise in fields such as economy, cryptography and multi-agent systems. If this sounds like you, please take a look at our?careers page?or send an email to?[email protected].
